* VINTAGE 1960s LA REGALE HONG KONG HAND MADE HEAVILY BEADED & SPARKLING SEQUIN EVENING BAG / EVENING PURSE

$ 80.00 $ 119.99

A vintage 1960s very heavily beaded Hand Made evening purse by Exclusively Made for La Regale - Hand Made in Hong Kon.

The purse is encrusted with very heavy beading on both sides with tiny white beads and sparkling sequins set with an individual bead on top.  The pattern is intricate and beautiful and must have taken a very long time to make by hand!  Large iridescent sequins that glimmer and change colors when moved from side to side and tiny beaded designs on both sides of the purse.  A lot of work went into making this gorgeous vintage purse.  The satin lining is a creamy ivory and there is a small side pocket inside to slip your license and some bills inside. All over the purse, there are little clustered loops of tiny white beads on top of the ivory sequins. There is a bead encrusted handle on the purse which will also fit inside the purse if you want to carry it as a clutch.  The evening bag measures 8” long at the widest point at the bottom, nearly 6: from top to bottom, 1/2” wide measured at the bottom.

There are some loose and missing beads/sequins and the lining has soiling on it as you can see in the photos.  Plus a store stapled probably the price tag on the inside flap of the purse and it left indentations but no one will see that other than you and that is what happens with evening bags and it is not uncommon especially considering this purse is about 57 - 58 years old and has had a former life. If there are some missing there are loads of them there and they will not be missed especially at night.  No holes or rips in the satin lining.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
