VINTAGE DARK GOLD-TONE METAL CLEOPATRA LOOK JEWELED NECKLACE WITH MATCHING EARRINGS SET

A vintage 1970s / 1980s dark gold-tone necklace with matching earrings set.  It reminds me of a Cleopatra necklace with the large retangular "jewels" spaced around the necklace.  

I remember wearing this set decades ago as I loved it very much.  The metal has a bit of a stretch to it if you pull it gently.  The large rhinestone are surrounded by the same vertical metal which reminds slightly of a slinky.  The colors on the rhinestones are beautiful in Copper, Shimmering Gold and a Clear rhinestone in the center.  There is a fairly wide clasp that slides into the other side of the necklace.  The matching earrings are surround by vertical metal and are in the Copper shade.  No makers mark but Iremember the set was pretty expensive at that time.

The earrings are clip ons with a screw back so they can be tighten when you get them on so you have a secure fit.  The necklace measures appx,. 16" long including the clasp and 5/8" wide.  The earrings are a good size and measure appx. diameter 5/8".  There is a Patent Pending number on the earrings but no makers mark on the necklace.

There is some very small lightening of the gold on both side which is not surprising considering the age of the necklace and more on the underside but no one can see that and the slight amount on the top is mostly on the back of the necklace where no one will be looking. You can see some of it in the photos but just remember the photos are greatly magnified so you can see all the detail but the flaws are also magnified much beyond what they really are and no one is going to see the small imperfections in real life.
 
This is the perfect color for a Fall and winter necklace in these beautiful Fall shades of leaves.  The  necklace will be the finishing touch to your outfits this Fall and winter.  They will look beautiful with a sweater, dress or casual tops and slacks.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning. Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower. Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it. The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
