Step back into the glamour of a bygone era with these stunning vintage evening heels by Amano for Lloyd Gotchy of Reno, Nevada.  

The shimmering silver metallic leather finish remains, fashionable clear vinyl side panels, sparkling studded bands of tiny crystals mounted on what appears to be grosgrain ribbon create dazzling brilliance and sparkle beautifully under the light that rival traditional rhinestones. Remarkably, all crystals remain present and continue to catch the light beautifully, lending these elegant vintage heels the same glamour and sophistication that made special-occasion shoes of the early 1960s so unforgettable.  

As someone who wore similar styles during the early 1960s, these shoes immediately brought back memories for me. I grew up in a small farming community in Illinois and glamorous shoes like these were not something found in our local stores. Because my mother grew up in Chicago and understood exactly what I was looking for, she took me to Chicago to shop for my prom shoes. The pair I wore to my 1961 prom were nearly identical in style, with sparkling bands across the front and the same elegant, feminine silhouette. Seeing these shoes instantly brings back memories of that special time and the excitement of finding the perfect shoes for a memorable evening.  These heels capture that same sparkle, elegance, and sophistication that made early-1960s formal fashions so unforgettable.

The shoes feature genuine leather soles, slim high heels, and delicate heel straps that create a timeless silhouette perfect for collectors, vintage fashion enthusiasts, theatrical costuming, or special occasions.

•    Size marked 7½ M - 3" across the widest part of the underneath sole - 9-1/2" measured on the inside from toe to the back heel.  Check the measurements of a similar heel that you are comfortable in with these measurements.  I think it is not today's medium width but more for a narrow foot.

Condition: Very good vintage condition.
•    Heel tips appear nearly new
•    Silver metallic finish on the heels shows no significant scratches noted
•    Rhinestone trim retains excellent sparkle with no missing stones observed
•    Leather soles show expected signs of light vintage wear
•    Interior footbeds show typical age and use-related soiling consistent with previously worn shoes
•    Slingback straps remain secure and functional
•    One strap attachment area where the strap connects near the clear vinyl panel has a small cut measuring   approximately 1/4".  Please review photographs carefully
•    Markings on sole include "Genuine Leather" and handwritten inventory markings

These beautiful heels have been exceptionally well preserved and present wonderfully for display or wear.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
