VINTAGE ROVEL OF CALIFORNIA DOUBLE NYLON LACE PEIGNOIR & NIGHTGOWN SET IN SPANISH MOSS

A breathtaking and exceptionally rare Spanish Moss peignoir and nightgown set by Ro-Vel of California, crafted in their signature double nylon construction and drenched in tightly gathered ecru lace. This deep jewel tone avocado green shade is almost impossible to find today — far rarer than the pastel Ro-Vel sets that appear occasionally. Spanish Moss is dramatic, elegant, and richly saturated, a true collector’s color.

Both the peignoir and nightgown feature two layers of sheer nylon, creating a floating, luminous silhouette that moves beautifully with every step. The neckline of each piece is trimmed in tightly gathered scalloped ecru lace, creating a ruffled, romantic frame around the face. Each neckline is finished with Spanish Moss nylon piping and a matching bow.

The peignoir has feminine double nylon puff sleeves, each dripping in scalloped ecru lace. Its full sweep is finished with a wide band of tightly gathered ruffled ecru lace, giving the hem a couture-level flourish. When walking, the two sheer layers trail behind you in a soft, floating cascade.

The nightgown mirrors the peignoir’s elegance with ruffled ecru lace spilling around the neckline, front and back, accented with more Spanish Moss piping. The hemline is finished with a ruffled nylon flounce, adding movement and femininity. Like the peignoir, the gown is crafted in two sheer layers, making the entire set feel luxurious, airy, and unmistakably Ro Vel.

Bust all the way around 42

Nightgown:
Bust 42 stretched a bit
Armhole 22 & can be made large by splitting open the side seam under the arm & re-sewing it - no one would notice as your arm will be over it 
Length 51 -52
Fabric double nylon- 4 layers of sheer nylon 
Care tag says machine wash & dry & cool iron but I would definitely hand wash drip dry & do not put in the washer or dryer as they ruin vintage double nylon sets.  Do not use an iron on these vintage sets.  I use a steamer but an iron would ruin them.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
