VINTAGE QUILTED GLEAMING SATIN BRIDAL TROUSSESU ROBE DRESSING GOWN WITH LARGE SATIN ROSE IN BLUE MIST

$ 549.00

A glamorous vintage bridal trousseau robe and dressing gown fashioned from gleaming quilted satin in a luscious shade of Blue Mist, a beautiful blend of soft aqua and pale powder blue. The delicate color has a luminous, ethereal quality that is even lovelier in person than photographs can fully convey. While I have made every effort to represent the color accurately, slight variations may occur due to lighting, photography, and individual monitor settings.

The exquisite robe has a quilted embossed rose floral pattern scattered over the satin robe. Romantic satin ruffles surround the neckline and bodice. Long quilted sleeves are softly shaped and finished with glamorous satin ruffled cuffs.

A beautiful silky smooth satin lines the interior of the robe. Inside ties provide a secure fit. Two pockets are concealed in the side seams. Lustrous fabric, satin ties and a large fabric rose accent complete this exceptionally feminine and elegant design.

Although the original label is no longer present, this robe is identical in style, construction, quilting pattern, fabric and detailing to a Donna Richard for Gilligan O'Malley quilted bridal robe previously offered in Tea Rose pink. The only apparent difference is the beautiful Blue Mist color.

Such a glamorous vintage robe. Perfect for bridal preparations, holiday mornings, romantic weekends away, special vacations or simply adding a touch of vintage glamour to everyday life.

Label: Original label no longer present.

Size: No tag so please go by the measurements for a proper fit. I am a size 10 and 5'5" and it fit me comfortably but would probably fit a size 8 better and measurements should always determine fit.

Approximate Measurements - (These are the measurements of the garment, NOT your figure. You should be several inches smaller than the measurements shown.)

Bust: 35" - 36"
Shoulder to Shoulder: 15"
Sleeve from Neck to End: 28-3/4"
Length: 51" - 52

Fabric Content: Label is no longer present. This robe is identical to another robe I owned that retained its original labels with the only difference is that the robe was pink and this one is Blue Mist. Based on that comparison, the fabric is believed to be the same. However, because the tag is absent, the fiber content cannot be guaranteed with absolute certainty.

Face: Poly Satin Quilting & Cotton, Interlining: Kodel Polyester, Lining: Nylon

Care:  The original care label is no longer present. Due to the vintage nature of this garment, I recommend treating it with care and using cleaning methods suitable for delicate fabrics. Buyers should determine the cleaning method they feel is most appropriate.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Appears to have been worn very little, if at all. No pilling in the interior of the robe. The sleeve ends no longer retain their original elasticity although they still present beautifully. A dry cleaner or alteration specialist could easily replace the elastic if desired. In my opinion, the robe looks lovely just as it is.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
