GORGEOUS LILLI ANN '70s ULTRASUEDE CLASSIC TRENCH COAT IN TAUPE - WASHABLE

A gorgeous vintage Ultrasuede coat by the fabulous Lilli Ann the company that made all those fabulous coats from the ‘50s - 70s.  This wonderful Ultrasuede fabric was made famous in the ‘70s by Bill Blass and is washable.

I have a peach Ultrasuede coat which I acquired and it was quite dirty from store soiling so I thought I would trying washing it.  I was really a bit concerned about doing so as I knew it was vintage and was not sure how it would really react to a machine washing.  It’s hard to believe but all the soiling which looked as though it had been dropped on the floor in addition to hanger soiling which is the hardest to get out actually came out and it washed beautifully!

This lovely vintage Ultrasuede coat by Lillie Ann is the traditional trench coat style with the belt and loops, the flap in the back and the straps around the sleeve. The coat is in a soft neutral in Taupe which changes shades from a lighter to a darker taupe depending on the lighting condition.  Notched collar.  Small soft shoulder pads for styling. (Could be removed if you slit open the lining to take out but I tried the coat on and they do not look large.)

Hidden buttons down the front under a placket for a sleek look. Large rounded patch pockets with the slash opening on the sides with decorative stitching. (I tried to take a photo of the pockets but because of the color, it was hard to see the stitching outlining the pockets.)  Sleeve loops with a button. The storm shield on the back (horizontal flap of fabric) allows water to run off the shoulders more efficiently and protects against the elements which is one of the reasons for many of the functional details on trench coats. Fully lined with a silky nylon lining. Enclosed kick pleat on lower back.  International Ladies Garment Union tag inside. 

It looks as though it has never been worn and if it was, then it was very little.  Perfect for spring and Fall weather. A great coat to wear over jeans, a dress or an outfit when you want to look fabulous.  A very classic look!

Size: No tag but I wear a size 10 and it fit me perfectly and will fit smalle as well but go by the measurements for a good fit.  Measure a coat that fits you well and compare those measurements with this coat.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements. We hope you enjoy what you purchased but we know sometimes things do not fit quite as you would like or the color is wrong.  In that case, we do allow one exchange or a store credit on any item that you want. There are about 2,000 items in the store and more are being added all the time so you have a large selection to choose from.

You must email before returning an item so I can give you the information that you need to exchange the item.
