A gorgeous Santana knit evening suit by Toula which are comparable to the wonderful St. John evening knits that we all love in scarlet red & adorned with sparkling gold & black pailettes

The knit is the same rayon & wool knit that St. John makes in their Santana knit - if you look Toula knits up on line on their website, you will see that the evening jackets & skirts sell for $1000 for the 2 pieces

This evening suit is gorgeous in a deep red almost a scarlet shade with the contrasting black & gold pailettes - the photos may appear as a orangy red but it is a deep lipstick red & some of the photos have been lightened so the detail can be shown
The entire collar, down the front of the suit, the ends of the sleeves & around the bottom of the jacket are encrusted with pailettes

There are shoulder pads in the jacket for shaping which could be removed - metal rhinestone with black & gold cross hatch design on the buttons - wide elastic in the skirt waist & if you need the elastic smaller or larger, the waistband on the inside can be split like in a st. John & larger or smaller elastic added

Absolutely gorgeous & perfect for a special event & especially for the holidays & new year’s eve when you want to look gorgeous

Bust: 38 unstretched & there is stretch to it in case you need it a bit larger
Waist: 37-½ stretched with more stretch to it
Shoulder to shoulder: 16
Sleeve from neck:28 length:

Skirt

Waist: 28 - 34 & can be made smaller or larger by changing the elastic as stated above
Hips: 38 - 43 stretched but don‘t stretch to the max or it will not hang properly
Length: 25-7/8
Fabric: rayon & wool santana knit
Care: dry clean

Condition: very good - store mark on the label - a smaller than eraser size on the lower front skirt closer to the side seam which seams to be some food? - i nearly missed it until i looked closely for imperfections - the cleaner will be able to remove it when he cleans it - minor thing 

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
