VINTAGE FANCY HOLLYWOOD REGENCY STYLE HUGE METAL VANITY MIRROR WITH TWISTED BRAID & BOWS

My sister came to Georgia to visit me a couple of years ago and we decided to do what we like best and go antique shopping. I really cannot give you any history about this mirror except that I spotted it in a huge antique store and was enthralled with the design and how large it was. I have had it for a while and although I did not use it, I am sure someone else has.
The mirror has two rows of twisted metal braid surrounding the circular mirror with "bows" under that. It is very ornate in the Hollywood Regency or Rococo style with lots of intricate details. The metal is probably iron since it is very heavy at 5-1/2 lbs. so it really has some weight to it. The color is a neutral beige or light brown which blends in with all rooms. The metal is lightly distressed and has a cottage or shabby chic look to it. The large mirror can be adjusted by moving it up and down which is convenient when fixing one's makeup or hair. I love the scroll design on the stand. It is so pretty. The backing of the mirror is like a heavy black cardboard material with some wear to it. There is some rust around the edge of the stand in front on the base which can be seen in a couple of the photos but it just gives it more of a shabby chic look and is not that noticeable. It could also be touched up with matching paint from a sample jar from the hardware store if that bothers you.
There are 3 metal "clips" on the back to hold the backing securely. Approximate measurements: 20-1/8" high and 14-7/8" across at the widest points and the base measures 6-5/8". I cleaned the mirror before taking the photos but I am sure that the next owner will want to clean it even better than I did it as I did not get all the dust off it as it had been quite dusty from the shop
The frame can also be painted any color that you desire to match the room it is going in if you want. I think it is very pretty this way but I also think it would be exceptionally pretty painted gold or black.
A wonderful Hollywood Regency / Rococco huge mirror for a bathroom vanity, on a dresser in a bedroom or a shelf in a living room!
The mirror weighs 5-1/2 lbs and by the time it is wrapped and put in a sturdy box, it will weigh 7 - 8 lbs so it will be a heavy box. Because of that, the mirror cannot be shipped to Alaska or Hawaii as it is too heavy and the postage only pertains to the contiguous U.S. states.

Care Instructions
We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.
Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.
Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.
Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements. We hope you enjoy what you purchased but we know sometimes things do not fit quite as you would like or the color is wrong. In that case, we do allow one exchange or a store credit on any item that you want. You must email before returning an item so I can give you the information that you need to exchange the item.
International customer have 14 days to contact Midnight Glamour about returning an item if they should want to. International customers may have to pay be additional customs and import taxes and there maybe unforeseen customs delays.
