* VINTAGE '80S MADE IN ITALY SATIN SHIMMERING BABY PINK PEIGNOIR NIGHTGOWN SET - NEW W TAG NEW OLD STOCK
$ 225.00 $ 324.99
A vintage 1980’s luscious satin peignoir and nightgown set Made in Italy in a striking shimmering pink floral print NEW WITH TAG. The color is Baby Pink although some of the photos do not show the beauty of the pink shade. This set was imported from Italy many years ago in the '80s.
I have several robes and two gorgeous peignoir and nightgown sets which I have listed which came from an Italian importer who owned a boutique store in the New York area. All brand new OLD STOCK FROM THE ‘80S! And they are all stunning. They are on my site now just in time for the holidays which will be here before you know it.
The satin fabric is silky smooth and lush and will be a dream to sleep in. The print is beautiful and very unique as well as the Italian style of the peignoir and nightgown. There is a lot of detailing that one does not see nowadays as it is too expensive for manufacturers to do so. Note the asymmetrical lapel on the peignoir – such a unique and pretty touch! Large turn up cuffs on the peignoir which is nice because it is not seen that often. Inside ties and a matching tie which was shown on the robe in the back view photo with loops on the peignoir. The matching nightgown is so feminine with the soft folds on the satin lined upper bodice as well as the upper back. Tiny elastic surrounds that area for a good fit on the bust line area and back. Satin spaghetti straps. The fabric is just a dream in a charmeuse-like satin and will be very luxurious to wear. Beautifully made in Italy!
The set was priced at $175 and the owner said it was a “special price” so it was probably originally more. Just out of curiosity, I checked an Inflation Calculator to see what it would cost nowadays and if it was $175 in the ‘80s, it would be over $630 today!
A gorgeous and very unique peignoir and nightgown set with a lot of detailing in this baby pink satin floral set Made in Italy New Old Stock with Tag.
By: Bicona Intimo Donna– Made in Italy
Size: The tag says Italian Size 50 BUT IT IS NOT THAT SIZE.
I am a size 10 & I tried on both the peignoir & gown and could get them on; however, there is no way anyone larger could wear this set. It is for a SLIM size 10 or possibly a Size 8. Do not buy it if you are larger because it will not fit. The gown was a bit tight for me in the seat area but I am probably bigger there than most size 10s.
Peignoir:
Bust: 49 – 50 all the way around
Sleeve from neck: 26
Shoulder to shoulder: Cannot measure as because of the raglan sleeves
Length: 53 - 54 - straps can be made shorter by taking them up in the back with a needle & thread if needed
Nightgown:
Bust: 36 stretched a bit
Under bust the elastic will stretch to 36 but do not stretch to the max as that would be too tight in that area – leave a few inches for movement.
Length: 55
Fabric: I cannot read Italian & it might have said on the tag but it is poly satin similar to a charmeuse - it is very silky smooth satiny fabric
Care: Washable shown by the laundry tub icon on the robe
Condition: NEW OLD STOCK WITH TAG showing the price of $175 in the '80s

Care Instructions
We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.
Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.
Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.
Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements. We hope you enjoy what you purchased but we know sometimes things do not fit quite as you would like or the color is wrong. In that case, we do allow one exchange or a store credit on any item that you want. There are about 2,000 items in the store and more are being added all the time so you have a large selection to choose from.
You must email before returning an item so I can give you the information that you need to exchange the item.
