An absolutely stunning vintage black velvety-like dressing gown robe and matching satin nightgown by vintage designer Georgette Trabolsi. This brand was only sold in the finest upscale stores such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, I. Magnin etc.

The exquisite dressing gown is in a very nice weight of fabric with a huge blush pink satiny shawl collar and a large fabric rose. Blush satin pointed cuffs on the sleeves for interest. 2 pockets in the side seams. Inside the dressing gown are two little double organza puffs in the shoulder area for a bit of shaping. Interior ties for a good fit and a large snap for closure.

The matching nightgown is in blush pink with an overlay of black lace on the bodice. Beautiful silky satiny fabric which will be a dream to sleep in. Spaghetti straps.

So feminine and glamorous! It is not often that one sees a dressing gown and matching nightgown set this elaborate and gorgeous! They are just not made like this anymore!

By: Georgette Trabolsi - Made in the U.S.A.
Size: Small but go by the measurements for a good fit.
Approximate Measurements – This means the measurements of the item listed – not of your own figure. You must be a few inches smaller than the measurements shown.

Peignoir: I wear a size 10 & I could get the robe on although it was slightly tight through the back so it would really fit a size smaller than a size 10 probably a size 6 or 8 better. However, the nightgown would be too small for me so check all the MEASUREMENTS as that is what is important not the size.
Bust: 34 - 35
Shoulder to shoulder: 14
Sleeve from neck: 29 - 30 depending where it is measured at the end of the sleeve
Waist where snap is: 30; however, if one needs the waist larger, there is 4-1/2" to the edge of the front of the robe so the snap could be moved over a bit
Length: 55
Fabric: Acetate & Nylon
Care: Dry clean

Bust: 34
Waist: 30 - 32 stretched
Length: 57 - 58
Fabric: Poly satin
Care: Washable
Condition: Very good but with some minor imperfections - No rips, tears or hems out.
Nightgown length is longer than the robe but that is an easy fix - just take up the straps until it is the same length as the robe - cleaners can do this. There is a double pinhead hole on the seat area of the gown back with a spot that is slightly hard. Looks like former owner may have tried to clean a spot and made a tiny hole. But it is in back and won't be seen by anyone at night (shown in photo).

Robe has some light soiling on the large collar front & back (some shown in photo on the shoulder area top) which possibly a cleaning might remove - small run on the front of the collar with what looks like a pin prick.

I may have missed something but I try to be as accurate as I can but something could slip by. The set could use a dry cleaning by a very good dry cleaner who knows how to clean vintage items to freshen it as well as a professional pressing as it has probably been stored away for decades.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements. We hope you enjoy what you purchased but we know sometimes things do not fit quite as you would like or the color is wrong.  In that case, we do allow one exchange or a store credit on any item that you want. There are about 2,000 items in the store and more are being added all the time so you have a large selection to choose from.

You must email before returning an item so I can give you the information that you need to exchange the item.

International customer have 14 days to contact Midnight Glamour about returning an item if they should want to.  International customers may have to pay be additional customs and import taxes and there maybe unforeseen customs delays.
