*VINTAGE ‘60s LORD & TAYLOR TEAHOUSE QUILTED ROBE FROM HONG KONG IN EMERALD – NEW OLD STOCK WITH TAGS

A beautiful vintage quilted robe made in Hong Kong for Lord & Taylor Teahouse in Emerald -  NEW old stock with tags. The old round hang tag is still on the robe along with 2 extra love knot buttons and the Lord & Taylor price tag.

You know if the robe came from Lord & Taylor that it was expensive as well as a quality item.

I remember when I was growing up that I wanted one of these expensive quilted robes from Hong Kong but there was just no way that it was possible.

I now have a very large collection of these in various gorgeous colors & am selling the remainder of my collection for someone else to enjoy them.

These beautiful quilted robes were very expensive in the past & sold only at very high-end & expensive stores like Neiman Marcus, Goldwater’s, Bergdorf Goodman & stores similar to those.

They are the ideal robe to wear when you want to look glamorous for a special evening at home or entertaining someone.

What is so great about these vintage quilted robes from Hong Kong is that each of them has a different theme design.  This one has birds & swirls on it and this is the first time that I have seen that. Some have koi fish, paisley, leaves & buds, others have chrysanthemums, hearts, rising phoenixes, roses or other types of flowers, etc. Each one is different.

The wrap robe is out of a fabric that is silky smooth satin & luxurious and is lightweight & will keep you warm without weighing you down.

The collar & lapels are intricately quilted with many rows of saddle stitching. There are bound buttonholes which only are seen in some vintage items or couture items nowadays as manufacturers will not take the time to make them. Woven love knot buttons with 2 extra buttons included in case one should get lost.

And the best thing about these wonderful robes is they washable and they wash & dry beautifully Slimming princess seams in the front. 7/8 sleeves. Tie with loops. Two large pockets on the front decorated with saddle stitching & a large bird as shown in one of the photos.

The inside of these robes are finished with beautiful workmanship & have no exposed seams & are as beautiful as the outside of the robe. Silky smooth emerald lining.

Condition: NEW WITH TAGS – top button has some store soiling on it but will probably come off when washed but in the rare event that it does not, there are 2 new buttons included with the robe.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
