* VINTAGE LATE '40S 'EARLY 50S VICTORIAN LOOK IRIS LACE, SATIN AND BLUE RIBBON WHITE PEIGNOIR AND NIGHTGOWN SET - ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS

An absolutely stunning Victorian look lace, satin & blue satin ribbon peignoir and nightgown set by Iris. The set is white but every time I would whiten the photos, the blue ribbon faded out. The set is white or off white (not ivory as it looks in the photos) with luscious blue double faced satin ribbon and the most intricate lace that you have seen!

Lovely satin blue ribbon threaded through the lace on the peignoir and more blue ribbon threaded through lace at the waist. The same is on the nightgown as well.
Wide glossy satin ribbon ties at the neck and the waist.

Vintage pinked seams. Ribbon & hook & eye at waist of peignoir to secure. Tiny blue ribbon threaded through the lace on the bodice and more blue ribbon threaded through lace at the waist. Wide glossy satin ribbon ties at the waist for a good fit. Lace around the armholes. 2 pearlized miniature buttons at the back waist.

The set is much prettier in real life as the camera had a hard time capturing the whiteness of the set withthe beautiful baby blue satin ribbon.

Size: Small Size - Size 32 but go by the measurements and leave a few inches for movement. This was shown on a Size 6 model and it fit her very well without any excess room.

Peignoir
Bust: 34 - maybe 35 all the way around because there is fullness in the soft pleats which can stretch a bit and more if left open
Sleeve from Neck: 16-1/4
Waist: 30 and more if left open
Length: 59

Nightgown
Bust: 32 - 36 possibly if stretched because of the soft folds in the bodice
Waist: 31 and can be made tighter by tightening the ribbon at the waist
Length: 59 - 60
Fabric: No tag - luscious heavy satin, fabulous intricate lace and double faced blue satin ribbon
Care: No tag
Condition: Very good - some what looks like hanger soiling on the bottom of the peignoir hem and some on the gown. I am going to launder it now and see if it will come out. Not that noticeable unless you are closely examining it.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements. We hope you enjoy what you purchased but we know sometimes things do not fit quite as you would like or the color is wrong.  In that case, we do allow one exchange or a store credit on any item that you want. There are about 2,000 items in the store and more are being added all the time so you have a large selection to choose from.

You must email before returning an item so I can give you the information that you need to exchange the item.

International customer have 14 days to contact Midnight Glamour about returning an item if they should want to.  International customers may have to pay be additional customs and import taxes and there maybe unforeseen customs delays.
