VINTAGE HEAVY BLUE SATIN ADORNED WITH CRISP WHITE FLORAL LACE PEIGNOIR AND NIGHTGOWN SET

 Good vintage with some flaws - I DO NOT WANT ANYONE TO BE DISAPPOINTED IN THIS GORGEOUS SET SO PLEASE READ ABOUT THE FLAWS IN THE NIGHTGOWN BEFORE PURCHASING AND MAKE SURE THAT CAN LIVE WITH THEM.

A absolutely gorgeous vintage peignoir and nightgown set in Icy Blue satin adorned with white floral crisp lace.  

The set is out of a the most heaviest liquid satin that I have ever felt - silky smooth.  The satin is creamy smooth and will slip through one's fingers like melted butter!  Luxurious white floral lace down the front and the ends of the peignoir sleeves.  2 pockets in the seams.  Belt with fabric loops.  Inside ties for a perfect fit.

The matching nightgown is just as lovely with the gorgeous lace detailing.  Spaghetti straps.  Slimming princess seams on the front.  Adjustable straps.  20" slit on the left front for ease in walking and a glimpse of a leg.

It is rare when one sees a peignoir set with this much detailing as this vintage set.  Manufacturers just do not make them like this anymore unfortunately.

Approximate Measurements – This means the measurements of the item listed – NOT OF YOUR FIGURE.  You must be a few inches smaller than the measurements shown.

Peignoir
Size: Small but I wear a Size 10 and the peignoir fit me and possibly may even fit someone a bit larger.  It will fit smaller sizes as well but go by the measurements for a good fit.
Bust:  All the way around: 48 - 54 depending on how it is measured.  If measurered in back from underarm to underarm side seam, it is 25 x 2 = 50.  However, if I measure it on the inside all the way around, it is 54.  Just remember that one side needs to flop over the other side when wearing.
Sleeve from neck:  28 - 29
Shoulder to shoulder:  19-5/8
Length: 52 - 53

Nightgown
Size:  Small but go by the measurements for a good fit
Bust: 35 - 36 stretched a bit
Waist:  32 - 33 but several inches for movement
Hips:   35 - 36 but leave room for movement as everything is always tighter when a body is inside.  Make sure your hips are smaller than the measurements shown.
Length:  51 - 52
Fabric: Heavy poly satin
Care: Washable
Condition:  The peignoir is in very good condition but the nightgown has some marks (last 2 photos) that satin sonetimes gets when people have sat on the fabric quite a bit.  Very light in the lower front but heavier in the lower back of the skirt and sides.  Some satin items get these marks and probably would not be noticed at night but they are visible during daylight.  They are marks similar to what velvet get when people sit on the fabric crushes it. I DO NOT WANT ANYONE TO BE DISAPPOINTED IN THIS GORGEOUS SET SO PLEASE READ ABOUT THE FLAWS AND LOOK AT THE PHOTOS WHICH WERE VERY HARD TO TAKE BEFORE PURCHASING AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE ALL RIGHT WITH THEM AND REALIZE THAT THE NIGHTGOWN HAS FLAWS.  I WILL TRY TO GET SOME BETTER PHOTOS OF THE BACK IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

The price has been reduced for the flaws and the set would have been twice as much as it is without them.  The price is mainly for the beautiful peignoir which will be a dream to wear in the heavy blue satin!

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
