*NEW WITH TAG - FROM ITALY - VINTAGE '80s NAVY & WHITE SATINY PEIGNOIR & NIGHTGOWN MADE IN ITALY

 vintage 1980’s navy and white satin peignoir and nightgown set Made in Italy in a striking navy and white floral print.  The navy is very dark that it almost looks like black. This set was imported from Italy many years ago. 

I have several robes and three outstanding peignoir and nightgown sets which I will be listing soon which came from an Italian importer who owned a boutique store in the New York area. All brand new OLD STOCK FROM THE ‘80S! And they are all stunning. Keep watching for them because I will be putting them on soon just in time for the holidays which will be here before you know it.

The satin fabric is silky smooth and lush and will be a dream to sleep in.  The print is beautiful and very unique as well as the Italian style of the peignoir and gown.  There is a lot of detailing that one does not see nowadays as it is too expensive for manufacturers to do so. 

Note the double lapel shawl collar with the contrasting print and the unique reverse peak on the back of the collar.  Both the white print as well as the navy print is used not only on the collar but on the ends of the sleeves as well as shown in one of the photos.  Inside ties and a matching tie which was not shown in photos with loops on the peignoir.

The same is true of the nightgown as it also uses the white print and the navy print in a wonderful combination on the bodice.  Rare flared cap sleeves for a very feminine look.  A beautiful accent bow for interest.  Note the wide cut outs under the arm which travel to the back - very striking - and the back is just as unique as the front.  The hemline of the gown has white satin piping to finish off the gown.  Beautifully made in Italy!

Fabric: I cannot read Italian but I think they are saying it is poly satin on the inside tag - it is very silky smooth satiny fabric.
Care: Washable shown by the laundry tub icon on the robe
Condition: NEW OLD STOCK WITH TAG - there is a manufacturer's horizontal line flaw on the back of the gown as shown in one of the photos but it is not easy to see unless you are looking for it and no one would ever see it at night since it blended in so well on the navy. (6th phot from the last one) 1980s price has been crossed out on price tag.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements. We hope you enjoy what you purchased but we know sometimes things do not fit quite as you would like or the color is wrong.  In that case, we do allow one exchange or a store credit on any item that you want. There are about 2,000 items in the store and more are being added all the time so you have a large selection to choose from.

You must email before returning an item so I can give you the information that you need to exchange the item.

International customer have 14 days to contact Midnight Glamour about returning an item if they should want to.  International customers may have to pay be additional customs and import taxes and there maybe unforeseen customs delays.
