VINTAGE EYE-FUL THE FLAUMS SHEER BLACK AND TURQUOISE SATIN EYELASH LACE

A beautiful black lace and sheer nylon nightgown adorned with turquoise satin by my favorite vintage designer "Eye Ful" by the "Flaums".  Eye Ful made the most unique and gorgeous nightgowns and peignoir sets years ago.  

The company Eye-Ful by the Flaums started in the 1940s and continued making fabulous nightgowns, peignoir and set for decades.  Eye Ful is known for their exquisite detailing and a lot of the sets and nightgowns that I have owned have bows or other appliques on the back or embroidery which is a beautiful and an unexpected touch.  Manufacturers just do not detail sets nowadays as they did the vintage ones as it is not cost effective for them and it is just not done.

A very sophisticated and gorgeous nightgown in black with lace and turquoise satin.  I love this color combination.

The nightgown is composed of sheer black nylon with a lace bodice with turquoise satin trim above and below.  There is sheer black nylon under the lace bodice.  Double looped spaghetti straps.  A very full skirt.  The back is just as beautiful with black scalloped eyelash lace in between turquoise satin bands.

Size: 34 but  go by the measurements instead of the size tag for a good fit

Bust: 34- 35 stretched tight
Under bust where the turquoise satin is and this area is where it will be the tightest on one:  33 unstretched
Length:  41
Fabric: Silky smooth nylon and satin
Care: Hand wash & drip dry
Condition: Very good - a couple of double pinheads near the hemline and maybe some picks but on the whole, the nightgown is in very good condition.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
