VINTAGE 1950s / 1960s TURQUOISE NYLON RUFFLED BABY DOLL SHORTY PAJAMA SET - ORIGINAL PANTIES

Adorable vintage turquoise shorty pajama set from the fabulous 1950s -1960s era! This charming baby doll style set is a rare find with its original matching panties intact.  A pure confection in turquoise—a dreamy example of the ultra-feminine styling that defined the era.

The bodice is a dream of texture and movement, featuring row upon row of double nylon ruffles set at playful angles. Each ruffle strip is cleverly sewn down the center to create ruffles on both sides, giving incredible dimension and fullness. A sweet nylon bow dangles from the center bodice as the perfect finishing touch.

The gown is beautifully constructed with double layers of nylon—a sheer outer layer over an opaque underlayer for modest coverage. Three rows of gathered double-ruffle strips adorn the hemline of the sheer top layer echoing the bodice design. Even the shoulder straps feature the signature double-ruffle construction created by sewing a single strip down the middle for a doubled effect.

Original turquoise hip hugger panties—always a rare bonus to find a complete set! The panties feature elastic at the waist and legs.

An utterly enchanting piece that brings the romance and innocence of 1950s glamour to life!

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. New Old Stock Looks as though it has not ever been worn. The elastic in the panty waistband has lost its stretch over time and would benefit from replacement by your dry cleaner (a quick, inexpensive fix). The leg elastic still has good spring and functions well.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
