A hard to find and gorgeous nightgown by Claire Pettibone. She is known for her lingerie and now now more for her fabulous wedding gowns. Claire Pettibone attended the world famous Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles and later formed her own company with her husband in 1994.

Her designs are exquisite and she uses only the finest French, Venetian laces and appliques together with the most exquisite fabrics. Her wedding gowns and lingerie are absolutely beautiful and unique and extremely feminine. Her gorgeous creations are sold worldwide in the most expensive boutiques and on line.  This brand used to be sold at Neiman Marcus but I no longer see it there.

This feminine nightgown by Claire Pettibone is in a very light shade of peach called Antique Peach with panels of sheer lace on the skirt. 

Claire Pettibone clothes are expensive and she is well known for her lingerie as well. The short babydoll lingerie sets on her website retail for approximately $1,545 and some of her peignoirs are now $2,950.

The lovely nightgown is out of slightly textured cotton look which has a nice feel to it instead of the usual slinky nylon which is a very nice change.  Light peach lace adorns the neckline, underarms and travels around to the back. A tiny rosette on the bodice with looped tiny ribbons. Bit of elastic in the back of the gown for a good fit.  Full bias-cut skirt with fine floral lace inserts for a very feminine look at one's legs. Lace trimmed hem.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

The items are sold as we find them.  We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and should be cleaned or washed upon arrival.  Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
