* VINTAGE CHRISTIAN DIOR SUIT WITH REMOVABLE LATTICE CANE PATTERN COLLAR & CUFFS

I purchased this gorgeous vintage suit by Christian Dior in black & white with a removable collar & cuffs in the '80s. I remember wearing it to work and received so many compliments on it!

The label looks very much like the label from the ‘80s on the vintage fashion guild label resource which is when I bought it.

There is a black and white cane pattern on the silky button-on collar and cuffs. The button-on collar and cuffs are removable if you want to wear the suit without them but it the contrasting fabric just makes the suit and you would not want to remove it. The ties thread through a large silky fabric loop to hang beautifully in front.

There is one big oval button on the front of the jacket and a smaller one on the end of each sleeve. Slimming princess lines front and back on the suit. Shoulder pads in the jacket which could probably be removed if you open up the lining. Zipper and button on the back of the skirt. Both pieces are fully lined. Kick pleat in back on the skirt.

Just a gorgeous suit perfect for so many occasions by the wonderful Christian Dior.

Fabric: no tag but it‘s similar to a wool tweed blend possibly?
Care: Dry clean
Condition: Very good - a little stress at the top of the kick pleat but it is so far down that no one would notice unless closing examining it - there is mend about the size of an pencil eraser in the back of the skirt about 3-½ down from the waist that no one will see because the jacket comes down over it and covers it

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
