The thong-type sandal have gorgeous prong set multi-faceted sparkling rhinestones in various shapes and sizes in emerald green, dark orangy red, light gold, sapphire and mint green There are gold accents on the aqua straps. I am not sure if this is imitation leather or real leather as there are no markings saying which it is. There is a buckle on the strap around the ankle with 3 tiny holes so it can be adjusted. There is also a hook on the other side that hooks into where the buckle is and makes it much easier to secure the strap.
The sandals have a sturdy nice size heel encrusted with more various shapes of "jewels" set on top of what looks like a mirrored back plate. The most beautiful thing about the sandals is the heel. I just love any kind of different and artistic shaped unique heel. This heel comes to a point in the very back which is unusal and unique.
There is a small seal on the bottom of the shoe in a foreign language but I do not know what it says. Next to it there is a shield stamped into the bottom which says "Vero Gusto" which means similar things in various languages but mostly pertaining to the real thing or the real taste depending on the various languages and whether it refers to food or an object.
The sole on the bottom of the shoe is pretty with a pattern of roses on it. No size markings on the bottom but it could be included in the small seal in the foreign language. I wear a size anywhere from a 7 B (medium) to an 8-½ AA and it fit me. The shoe is 10” long measured inside and 3-1/4” across the ball of the foot measured inside. The heel height is 2-1/2" and are a perfect height for going out in the evening or cruises.
Although they have not been worn, they did travel from Georgia to Texas in my huge inventory and they have some tiny little marks on the sides of the front area like they may have been pressed against something. No one can see them because they are so close to the ground and on the side and they were too tiny to see in any photos. (size of pin pricks) Some pin prick tiny black marks but again too tiny for anyone to see. No box is included.
These vintage resort wear and summer shoes are just adorable and perfect for at evenings out or vacations pool parties, cruises, shopping or an evening out.
Care Instructions
We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.
Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.
Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.
Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
