VINTAGE PYREX AQUA OVENWARE BAKING DISH / CASSEROLE DISH WITH RATAN SERVING CARRIER

$ 125.00

I have always loved Pyrex baking ovenware and have collected a number of them over the decades.  They were made in the U.S.A. in the '50s, '60s and '70s and are not only are highly collectible but pretty as well.

This is an 8" Pyrex baking dish with a beautiful and so handy ratan carrier.  It will look so good if you plan on taking a dish to an event or when serving dinner to your family.  The color of the Pyrex dish is an aqua shade.  There are no cracks or nicks on the dish. Although I purchased have owned this item for some time, I have never used it but someone else did in the past.

There are some very small imperfections on the item which I will mention and can be seen probably better in the photos.  The wicker carrier has some dark marks on the inside corner which cannot be seen once the Pyrex dish is inside. The outside and bottom of the carrier look good.

There are dark marks which can be seen in the photos on the corners of the dish which may have come from putting the dish inside the carrier.  I thought of taking a bit of Ajax cleaner to see if I could remove them but decided against that and will leave that to the next owner if they want to try it.  There is light scuffing on the sides and handles with a few tiny black pin pricks which may come off with the Ajax but they may not either.  However, you do not see the sides of the dish when it is in the wicker carrier and the carrier is in very good condition except for the marks inside which will not be seen either.

All in all, I would say it looks great when in the carrier with a bit of the aqua dish showing at the top.

This would also make a wonderful gift not only for yourself but for someone that you know that collects Pyrex!

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements.
