* FROM MY OWN PERSONAL COLLECTION - ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS VINTAGE MAGID SPARKLING ALL RHINESTONE EVENING BAG WITH MATCHING CHANGE PURSE & MIRROR

This is one of the most gorgeous vintage evening purses that i have ever seen from my own personal collection - it is by Magid from the ‘50s & it is nothing like their present day purses which are quite ordinary - this is just spectacular as it is encrusted with brilliantly sparkling rhinestones set in pale blue lucite or plastic bezels - it is daylight now & the sparkle is amazing & in the evening, it is a hundred times more sparkly than now - the rhinestones set in the bezels are connected together & set on a pale blue or minty colored fabric background

The silver tone frame is etched & is in very good condition - it is very sturdy & the hinges work fine - the clasp is a metal rectangle studded with 35 sparkling rhinestones - “Magid” is stamped inside the purse - the interior is a minty green heavy very good quality peau de soir which has some light soiling with a spot as shown in the photos which is not unusual considering the age of the purse & it having been used by one or more owners in the past - each side of the interior has a very large pocket - one pocket contains a clear double mirror with rounded corners - the other side contains a peau de soir tiny change purse with a silver tone clasp which snaps shut very soundly

There is some loosening of the netting which connects the rhinestones at the top of the frame area which not that noticable & does not affect the wearability of the evening bag - there is a fine silver tone chain which measures 14” & has a drop of 6-½” - the evening bag measures 9” at widest point across the bottom, 6-½” top to bottom & appx. ½“ wide across at the bottom

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
