* VINTAGE VERA MUSICAL JAZZ LATE 50S VERY OLD VERA NEUMANN PURE SILK SCARF WONDERFUL MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS

$ 99.99

A vintage pure silk scarf by the designer Vera Neumann from the late '50s. A very old scarf. I have been collecting Vera scarves since the early '60 since I loved them and this was an era when people wore tons of scarves especially Vera's. Not only did Vera designed hundreds of scarves but also clothing, kitchen items including placemats and napkins, bedroom linens and other items. People loved collecting her amazing designs then and still do to this day. I know first hand because I collected tons of her scarves which I wore and other items and they are some of my most prized collections!

The rolled scarf shows various musical instruments such as the bass fiddle, kettle drums, tambourine, saxophone, French horn, and also a music stand to hold one's music. There are lines and a staff plus colors are burnt orange, light gold and deep gold. Fabulous fabric.

Measures appx. 21" x 22.5". Tag says "Scarves by Vera. Pat. Pending. Pure Silk Hand Rolled". There is a 1/2" minute split in the fabric which I nearly missed and so will everyone else. It is just old but it looks to still be in good condition with the exception of the tiny split.

A true collector's item who loves music and jazz. Would make a wonderful gift for a music lover! (See my other Musical scarf in another listing.)

Perfect to wear with a sweater, tie back one's hair, dress or suit or tie on your purse in beautiful Fall colors.

I do not steam the scarves like I do all my other garments and they will be send as I found them with folds in them since I am always afraid of a water mark from my steamer. I will let the new owner use an iron if they want to get the folds out as I do not own an iron.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
