VINTAGE SPARKLING RHINESTONE LUCITE EVENING PURSE SO CUTE & FEMININE DESIGNER PURSE 50S PURSE RHINESTONE PURSE 60S PURSE

$ 84.00 $ 129.00

A 1950's Lucite evening bag with sparkling rhinestones sprinkled on the side of it.

There is a design on the side of the evening purse where the rhinestones are which looks like a floral and leaf design which is indented in places to give the purse interest.

There is a tiny silver chain to carry the purse which is secured to the top.  It can also be carried as a clutch.  When the purse is open, there are flexible plastic gussets on the side.  (In case someone wants a definition of a gusset on a purse, it extends and allows the ability to open a purse wider and to make it roomier.)

As a bonus, I have added a very pretty floral pink, green and white scalloped edge hanky to put in the purse.  If you open it and spread it out, it will contain your items if you wish so no one can see them.  It also gives the purse a cute look to match what you are wearing depending on the color of the hankies that you have to put in the purse.

Measurements across the widest part of the body:  appx. 7-3/8"
Across the bottom:  7-1/4"
Vertically on the side:  3-3/4"
The drop from the top of the  lucite to the top of the chain:  5"

Condition:  Very good for being 75 years old.  There are some minor scratches on the purse but I think they are pretty mmild compared to some scratches that I have seen on other Lucite purses.  The gussets in the purse are intact but the plastic is a bit sticky but not overly so but it is just how plastic gets after many, many years when it ages. #1 photo next to the last phote is of the small crack outside the purse  #2 photo which is the last photo show it from the outside and it is only 3/8" of an inch.  They look larger only because I took close ups of them but they really are minor issues.

It's such a cute purse and the rhinestones are very sparkly and brilliant!  You will get a lot of compliments on this lovely little Midcentury evening bag!

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning. Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower. Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it. The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
