VINTAGE VIOLETS GOLD GILT SUGAR AND CREAMER SET ON MATCHING TRAY TEA PARTY TEA SET MINIATURE SET VINTAGE CHINA

A lovely vintage sugar and creamer set on a scalloped tray made in Japan sprinkled with violets.

I had a tea for some friends a number of years ago and used this miniature set next to the tea pot.  Although it is a smaller set, it looked adorable on the tea table and it contained the sugar and cream for the tea party.  This is also the perfect size for when one has a friend over for a cup of tea!

Beautiful gold gilt on each piece and it looks as though all of it is in very good condition as well as the set.  When I purchased this vintage set, I was told the set is China and that the violets are hand painted.  I do not know for ssure as I am more familiar with selling vintage clothing but this seller on Etsy sells a lot of China from what I noticed so she knows a lot more about it than I do.

The only imperfection that I can see which is very small is that part of some of the violets on the tray are missing which be seen in one of the photos.  However, the sugar bowl or creamer normally sits in that spot so it will right on top of it and actually, although I have had this for some time, I never noticed that because I was always focusing on the aray of violets elsewhere.  I love the little scalloped tray that the set is sitting on and just makes it so much more adorable.

Measurements:
Sugar Bowl:  To the top of the gold knob on top appx 3-1/2" high - from one handle to the other 3-5/8"diameter across the top 2-1/4"
Creamer:  3" to the top of the lip - appx. 2-1/2" across the widest point
Tray:  7" X 3-1/4"
 
Perfect for a tea party, tea for 2 or just to add it to one's violet collection!

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
