* VINTAGE ESCADA COUTURE EVENING GOWN WITH GOLD BUTTONS STUDDED WITH RHINESTONES

A gorgeous Escada Couture evening gown adorned with gold buttons sprinkled with sparkling rhinestones.

The dress, as expected, is very well made both outside and in. I love the unique "V" neckline which goes into wide straps and the high cut-out arms.

The gold buttons on the dress are beautiful as they have a ring of crystals or rhinestones surrounding them with a crown sitting on top of a shield. The shield has a large "E" in the center of it for Escada. All stones are intact. The dress is made of 100% silk and the feel of the fabric is very lush as one would expect in a Couture dress. The inside of the gown from the top of the bodice to the waist is lined in a heavy red satin as shown in the photos. The rest of the dress is lined in a lighter-weight silk so the skirt has a more fluid look to it. Invisible back zipper with a tiny button and loop at the top. The interior of the waist has a silk band inside with buttons and buttonholes to pull one's waist together before zipping up the dress. 22-1/4" slit on one side for ease in walking.

Very striking for an evening affair on Valentine's Day, a formal event, a cruise, mother of the bride or groom.

Size: Tag says Size 40 which is a foreign size so go by the measurements for a good fit.

It fit my size 6 mannequin perfectly so go by the measurements of the mannequin.
Measurements of the mannequin:  Size 6 Bust 34 Waist: 25 Hips: 35

When I measured it, these are the measurements that I got:
Bust: 32 - 33
Waist: 25 - 26
Hips: 34 - 35
Length: 53 - 54 but the dress will be a bit shorter when a body is inside it
Fabric: 100% Silk & Satin
Care: Dry clean
Condition: Very good - Looks as though it was never worn.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
