*VINTAGE ASIAN CHINESE BRUSH PAINTING AND SIGNS BACKLESS HALTER WRAP DRESS - FABULOUS!

A vintage halter wrap dress adorned with Asian signs, Chinese calligraphy paintbrushes. 

The following quote was used from material from a Wikipedia article called "Chinese Painting" with paintbrushes and my thanks to them.

"Chinese painting is one of the oldest continuous artistic traditions in the world. The colors in the dress are beautiful in red, gold, burgundy with black and white paintbrushes.  The dress is beautifully lined with no raw edges except for the flounce at the bottom.  Pretty gathered ruffles around the neck with a halter neckline and backless.  The dress is an easy to wear wrap dress with long ties. Slit in the waistband for one of the ties to slip through when wrapping the dress around one's waist.  The beautiful flounce at the bottom is 6-3/4” wide for a lovely finish to the dress

Size: No tag so go by the measurements - this should fit many sizes because there are no sleeves, no front enclosures, waist can be adjusted and it is backless.  I tried it on and I wear a Size 10 and it fit me and there was room left over in the bust area.
Approximate Measurements – This means the measurements of the item listed – not of your own figure.  You must be a few inches smaller than the measurements shown.
Bust: Measured midway from the top of the dress in the bust area as well as the top of the set in waist area 25"
Waist measured the entire waist up to where the ties start but not including the ties: 39
Ties measured from where they start at the end of the side of the dress:  31-5/8.  the entire waistband including the ties: 100-1/2
Length measured on a hanger from approximately the halter neckline to the bottom:  appx. 60 but remember when you are wearing the dress, once you put the halter around your neck and your bust, that will pull up the dress.  You can also adjust the length if too long by taking it up at the waist which would very easy to do.
Fabric: No tag but a cotton or blend
Care: No tag
Condition: Very good - there is a cleaners tag still connected to the dress

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

 Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements. We hope you enjoy what you purchased but we know sometimes things do not fit quite as you would like or the color is wrong.  In that case, we do allow one exchange or a store credit on any item that you want. There are about 2,000 items in the store and more are being added all the time so you have a large selection to choose from.

You must email before returning an item so I can give you the information that you need to exchange the item.

International customer have 14 days to contact Midnight Glamour about returning an item if they should want to.  International customers may have to pay be additional customs and import taxes and there maybe unforeseen customs delays.
