*VINTAGE '50s / '60s EYE FUL BY RUTH FLAUM "I LOVE YOU" VALENTINE PINK PUFFED HEARTS CREAMY PEIGNOIR & NIGHTGOWN SET

An adorable vintage '50s / '60s peignoir and nightgown set adorned with pink valentine hearts by the wonderful vintage company Eye Ful “By the Flaums”. Eye Ful and The Flaums are known for their gorgeous and elaborate detailing on their nightgowns and peignoirs.

The set is heavy with creamy ivory or off-white nylon. The photos make the set look pure white but it is more ivory or an off white. The peignoir has a wide sheer double nylon ruched collar trimmed with pink satin ribbon and quilted embroidered “I Love You” hearts. There is another pink heart for the long, long pink satin ribbons to go through and tie in the back of the peignoir which has just as much detailing as the front. There is a split double nylon collar in back with a fat quilted heart with “I Love You” and pink satin ribbons hanging down.=

The matching nightgown is just as lovely as the peignoir with just as much detailing. There are double looped spaghetti straps on the ruched empire-style nightgown with more pink satin ribbon and a pink puffed heart under the bust. The gown‘s fabulous rare flower petal large scalloped hem is also trimmed in pink satin cording for a very feminine look. On the lower front skirt of the full gown are two side-by-side puffed pink satin hearts which say I Love You”.

A totally unique and adorable vintage set by Eye Ful and “the Flaums” which would be perfect to wear on Valentine ’s Day for the one you love.

Fabric: Creamy slinky nylon
Condition: Very good – No rips or hems out. Someone has enjoyed wearing the set in the past and wore it a lot but there is still a lot of life left in the set. A few inches of the ribbon near the bow on the peignoir is stiff with a tiny cut which a couple of stitches will close. Wrinkles in the ribbon and appliques which may come with a steaming but do not know for sure.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
