VINTAGE VERY FANCY DOUBLE NYLON JENELLE OR ROVEL DRENCHED IN LACE NIGHTGOWN WITH SATIN ROSE IN EUROPA
A very fancy vintage nightgown in a pale lavender shade called Europa.
There are no manufacturer’s tags on this gown but Jenelle and Rovel made nightgowns like this which were very ornate with satin roses so it is probably by one of them. I actually think it is by Rovel as the tag in the gown is blue and white and that is the color of the Rovel tag.
Jenelle and Rovel are known as the manufacturer in the '50s & '60s that made the most exquisite & unique peignoir & nightgowns anywhere
The gowns & peignoirs were alwaysl very luxurious with sheer silky double nylon which floats behind you as you walk. Many of them are adorned with satin roses as this one in addition to satin trim.
The luscious nightgown is made with two layers of sheer nylon. The satin trimmed bodice is ruched for a lot of fullness which spills down into the skirt. Pale lavender satin trim under the bust for an empire look adored with a large satin rose. Long satins ties which continue around to the back to tie in a bow. There are double nylon full sleeves with very wide ivory lace trim. More of the same lace down the split front of the silky sheer nylon skirt for a fabulous look.
It is very rare to find these lovely nightgowns adorned with all this superb detailing especially in this excellent condition.
You will look like a princes in this double nylon vintage nightgown in Europa.By: No tag but probably either Jenelle of California or Rovel

Waist: 46 untied & can be made tighter when you tie the ties in back
Length: 53 - 54

Some sections of the hem that have rolled up a bit an need to be pressed down or just left as it is not that noticeable. Yellowy stain on the hemline but will not be seen at night which may come out with a wash. Price has been reduced for imperfections.

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.
Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.
Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.
Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
