VINTAGE VICTOR COSTA FOR NEIMAN MARCUS SILVER, MULBERRY & PURPLE EVENING BALL GOWN

A gorgeous evening gown by victor costa for neiman marcus - you know if it is from victor costa & neiman marcus, you know that it was expensive as well as being beautiful

The evening gown is heavy with crisp taffeta - the colors are striking in sparkling silver, mulberry & purple - the back of the ball gown is very dramatic with the chevron striped fabric under flaps of the purple taffeta

There are 3 rows of self-covered taffeta buttons which lend interest to the back of the ball gown - side zipper - the taffeta is lined with a heavy fabric - there is an attached crinoline with another silky lining under that
Just beautiful as one would expect from victor costa & neiman marcus - perfect for the holiday season & especially for celebrating on new year’s eve when you want to look gorgeous & be the belle of the ball

Condition: very good - a bit of white on the skirt on one of the flaps in back, a small dot of soil in back & a small spot in front which looks like food which should come out with a cleaning - some light what looks like water spotting on the front skirt but i did not see it until i took it out in bright sunlight & no one would notice at night & should come out with a cleaning - small things which a cleaning should take care of & which you would want to do before you wore it anyhow

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
