**NEW WITH TAG -VINTAGE MADE IN ITALY 1980s SATIN & VELOUR WRAP ROBE IN AQUAMARINE - SIZE MEDIUM - WOULD MAKE A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY OR CHRISTMAS PRESENT!
ORIGINAL PRICE $324.99
A vintage 1980’s velour wrap robe Made in Italy in a gorgeous shade of Aquamarine. These lovely robes were imported from Italy many years ago.
I also have several other robes and three outstanding peignoir and nightgown sets which I will be listing soon which came from an Italian importer who owned a boutique store in the New York area. All brand new OLD STOCK FROM THE ‘80S! And they are all stunning. Keep watching for them because I will be putting them on soon just in time for the holidays which will be here before you know it.
The velour fabric is very soft and the color is luscious. It is rare to find a robe like this in such a beautiful shade of Aquamarine and this is one of my favorite colors. Depending on the lighting, sometimes the robe looks more aquamarine and sometimes it looks baby blue with a touch of green. It all depends on the lighting.
The bodice and wide lapels are absolutely stunning with rippled gathered satin which travels down from the top of the collar to nearly the waist. Detailed curved stitching surrounding the ruffles on the shawl collar. More gathered satin adorns the ends of the sleeves. Inside ties for a good fit. Matching belt with loops. One pocket in the side seam. Beautifully made in Italy!
I also have this same style robe in a Aquamarine in a Size Medium (Italian Size 46) and another in a Size Extra Large (Italian Size 50) and a Parisian Peach in a Size Extra Large (Italian Size 50) which I will put on soon. I also have this robe in a gorgeous shade of Ruby in another listing.
By: Biconf – Made in Italy
Size: Medium or Italian Size 46 and a conversion chart says that is a US Size Medium but go by the measurements for a good fit. Read below regarding the shoulder to shoulder measurements as Italian sizes run smaller than US sizes)
Approximate Measurements – This means the measurements of the item listed – not of your own figure. You must be a few inches smaller than the measurements shown. Measure a robe that you are now wearing and compare the measurements. If they are close, then it should fit.
Bust: 38 - 40
Shoulder to shoulder: 15 (15" is normally for a size Small so make sure to measure this against your robe that fits you so it is not too small across the back.)
Sleeve from neck to end of sleeve: 28
Length: 50 - 51
Fabric: I cannot read Italian so I do not know the fabric content but it is very soft velour.
Care: Washable shown by the laundry tub icon on the robe
Condition: NEW OLD STOCK WITH TAG - there are some fold marks below the back of the robe under the belt and another farther down and maybe some others plus some tiny pin pricks where pins were used to secure the robes in the gift box that they were in for the last 40 years I tried to take a photo of them but they would not photograph clearly because it blended in so well. There is a photo of one of them but there could be some more. It is hard to see unless you are very closely examining the robe and should come out over time and probably washing.

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.
Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.
Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.
Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
