VINTAGE SOPHISTICATED '70s GLYDONS BLACK LACE PEIGNOIR & NIGHTGOWN SET
An exquisite vintage lace peignoir & nightgown set by the wonderful Glydons Company. Unfortunately, they are no longer in business but when they were, they made the most beautiful nightgowns & peignoirs. There was also a time whe Bob Mackie designed for them & in the past, I have sold a nightgown in a beautiful seafoam shade that was designed by Bob Mackie for Glydons.
If you love black lace like I do, you are going to love this vintage lace peignoir & nightgown set by Glydons.
The peignoir is all sheer floral lace with trumpet sleeves trimmed with large lace applique scallops. There are more lace scallops down the front of the peignoir as well. No closure on the front of the peignoir as it is meant to be open & float behind you as you walk.
The matching nightgown has the same floral lace with the scallops down the front & on the straps. The skirt of the gown is silky nylon with a huge 45" sheer lace bias insert on the lower front which extends up to practically the hip line.
A beautiful peignoir & nightgown set by one of the most loved vintage manufacturers of lingerie Glydons.
By: Glydons - Made in U.S.A. Hollywood
Size: Medium & should also fit a Small but go by the measurements for a good fit
Bust: all the way around 43
Shoulder to shoulder: 15 – 16 since it will stretch a bit
Bust: 34 - 37 stretched tight
Waist: 11 unstretched
Hips: 39 unstretched
Fabric: 100% Nylon
Condition: Very good - I think maybe the straps on the gown may have stretched a bit over time since the gown is a bit longer than the peignoir but they would be easy to take up on the back of the gown to make them the same length - something you or the cleaners could do.

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.
Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.
Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.
Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements. We hope you enjoy what you purchased but we know sometimes things do not fit quite as you would like or the color is wrong.
