Just a stunning vintage '80s robe dressing gown by Jonquil by Diane Samandi.  Her nightgowns, peignoirs and robes are very expensive and are sold at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstroms and other high-end stores and bridal boutiques.  Only the most fabulous imported trims, beading and laces are used in these nightgowns and nightwear along with the finest fabrics available.

The tag is missing but the RN# on the size tag belongs to
MGT Industries which is based in Los Angeles and was founded 30 years ago. It says on their website that "They design and produce sleepwear for private labels and for their own brands which are In Bloom, Jonquil, and Linea Donatella."  It is practically identical with another velour robe by Jonquil & Diane Samandi and was sold at Neiman Marcus and this was probably sold there as well.  The other robe is Charcoal with Sugar Plum Satin and if look at it, you will see it is the same design as this one.

I rarely see a velour robe by Jonquil and this vintage one is absolutely beautiful and the second one that I have come across.  The color of this sophisticated looking dressing gown is a Jet Black with Deep Gold Embroidered Netting Lace trim.  The color combination is amazing and so elegant.  The fabric is a creamy fluid velour which will be perfect to not only keep you warm but to make you look glamorous at the same time. The bodice has a  pleat starting at the shoulder and traveling down to give fullness to the bust area.  The gold lace wide trim at the ends of the sleeves is much prettier than my photos and much deeper with no white.  Just a deep rich gold almost metallic and gorgeous!  There is an attached tie at the waist out of black and although the fabric is poly, it feels like silk satin.

I am not in a hurry to sell this robe as I would really like to keep it for myself as I know I am never going to find another one like it and it is just beautiful and so unique.  That is why I love the Jonquil brand and as I said, it's probably sold at Neiman's because you know it is always going to be gorgeous and unique.

A very glamorous dressing gown in an Old Hollywood style by Jonquil by Diane Samandi probably from Neiman Marcus in a fabulous color combination of black and gold.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements. We hope you enjoy what you purchased but we know sometimes things do not fit quite as you would like or the color is wrong.  In that case, we do allow one exchange or a store credit on any item that you want. There are about 2,000 items in the store and more are being added all the time so you have a large selection to choose from.

You must email before returning an item so I can give you the information that you need to exchange the item.

International customer have 14 days to contact Midnight Glamour about returning an item if they should want to.  International customers may have to pay be additional customs and import taxes and there maybe unforeseen customs delays. The seller is not responsible for these delays nor for the custom charges as that is the international customer's obligation when purchasing an item outside your country.
