GORGEOUS VINTAGE GLAMOUR GIRL BRILLIANTLY SPARKLING RHINESTONE ENCRUSTED SWIMSUIT IN SCARLET PAGEANT SWIMSUIT - PERFECT FOR VIVA LAS VEGAS

An absolutely stunning brilliantly sparkling vintage swimsuit encrusted with rhinestones, beads & appliques

The prong-set rhinestones have a brilliant sparkle as only vintage rhinestones can have - there is nothing more beautiful than vintage rhinestones as they sparkle profusely & are not anything like the cheap rhinestones made in china nowadays

The photos make the suit look red but it is a deeper shade closer to scarlet - the bodice is encrusted with prong-set rhinestones & shot on huge appliques that go from one side of the bodice to the other - the suit is very heavy with rhinestones & weighs over 2 pounds!

Princess seaming front & back for a slimming look - the body of the suit is covered with twinkling rhinestones front & back - there is an old talon invisible zipper in the back of the suit - according to the internet, talon zipper co., started in 1893 & was sold to Textron in 1978 which later went bankrupt - in 2006, another zipper company purchased the talon name & changed their name to talon

3 huge rhinestone & beaded appliques on the hip area & 6 more on the upper back of the suit - just fabulous!

The former owner has added a piece of vinyl or plastic-like fabric to the crotch of the suit to keep it tidy - you will probably want to remove it as over the years, it has become crinkly sounding as plastic gets when it gets old - it could be removed as it was put in in basting stitches & over time it has come loose in parts of it - it looks as though the suit might have been custom made as most clothes were back in the ’50s / ’60s as i see no labels in it- I would say the swimsuit is from the ’50s / ’60s sometime - it’s hard to date it more accurately without labels

You will look fabulous in this gorgeous brilliantly sparkling rhinestone vintage swimsuit & i am sure there is not another one identical to it anywhere

Size: no tag but i wear a size 10 suit & & it was difficult to get on so i would say it would fit closer to a size 6 or 8 or a small size
Bust: 33 - 37stretched tight
Waist: 28 - 30 stretched tight
Hips: 31 - 36 stretched tight
Length: from top of strap to the middle of the crotch unstretched 31-1/2 & could probably stretch down to 35-1/2
Fabric: no tag but lycra or spandex
Care: washable
Condition: very good vintage - 2 tiny rhinestones missing on the applique on the bodice & 1 on the hip which can be replaced & 1 large rhinestone about hip area on the front of the suit but with all the rhinestones on the suit, no one would ever miss or see those - some tiny spots & picks on the suit way down towards the leg area which i nearly missed - may be some other tiny minute things that i missed but probably not & if i couldn’t see them no one else will either

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
