* GLAMOROUS VINTAGE GRAND SWEEP EVENING GOWN ENCRUSTED WITH RHINESTONES & SILVER SHOT METAL ZIPPER IN LEMON DROP

A gorgeous very glamorous vintage grand sweep evening gown encrusted with rhinestone and silver shot. 

It was hard to get the correct shade of yellow on the photos but I tried to get as close as I could and it is in Lemon Drop.  Vintage prong-set sparkling vintage rhinestones on the bodice, back and sleeves.  They sparkle brilliantly as well as does the silver shot on the gown.  The detail on this evening gown with the rhinestones and shot is amazing.  The evening gown is heavy with the abundance of silver shot.

The dress is completely lined under the sheer top layer which feels like crepe.  The next layer of lining on the dress is taffeta-like with the underside being absolutely gorgeous satin and finished with a row of horsehair around the entire skirt for shaping and fullness. And then there is 3rd layer of yellow satin for the next lining!!!   Vintage pinked seams.  

The dress is heavy with all of the fabric in the grand sweep skirt but mostly from the elaborate use of the silver shot.  Notice the unique shape of the collar covered with silver shot.  Love the design!  2 hooks & eyes under the collar to pull together (not shown in the photos). Vintage metal zipper in back with a hook and eye.  This evening gown reminds me of the evening gowns designed and made by Jack Bryan in the '60s / '70s.

Absolutely gorgeous for a formal affair, a ball, a cruise, mother of the bride or groom or any special formal event.

By:  No tag unfortunately but I am sure it is by a very well-known vintage designer.
Size: No size tag but my model is a Size 6 and it fit her well.
My model's measurements:  Bust 34.2  Waist: 25.2  Hips: 35.7

Bust:  34 - 35
Shoulder to shoulder:  15
Sleeve from neck:   30 - 31
Waist:  31 - 32 with no give because of all the linings

Fabric: No tag but a light crepe-like fabric on the top and with 2 layers of satin under that.
Care: No tag but dry clean 
Condition: Very good.  There could be some loose or missing rhinestones, or shot but none stood out but I am adding that just in case I missed some.  There are so many there, they would never be noticed.  Hemline on the skirt has some soiling but that is to be expected on an evening gown that touches the floor and a good cleaner will be able to take care of that plus any tiny spots that may be there.  I did not see any huge ones but just in case I missed some.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements. We hope you enjoy what you purchased but we know sometimes things do not fit quite as you would like or the color is wrong.  In that case, we do allow one exchange or a store credit on any item that you want. There are about 2,000 items in the store and more are being added all the time so you have a large selection to choose from.

You must email before returning an item so I can give you the information that you need to exchange the item.

International customer have 14 days to contact Midnight Glamour about returning an item if they should want to.  International customers may have to pay be additional customs and import taxes and there maybe unforeseen customs delays.
