*VINTAGE '50s BLACK PATENT LENNOX BAGS MONACO COIN CLUTCH PURSE

A cute vintage black patent clutch purse by Lennox Bags adorned with Monaco coins.

7 gold and silver tone coins which read "Louis II Prince De Monaco." Long metal zipper pocket in clutch which is lined in black satin. Some fading of the satin lining inside. Purse measures 12" long X 1-1/4" wide at the widest point X 4-1/2" high.

I took a photo of the zippered pocket inside the purse. It is very pretty gold satin in perfect condition and the interior of the purse looks very good as well. The vintage zipper works well. No lipstick or pen marks or dirty like a lot of vintage purses.

However, there are the new curved depressions or indentations on the back and front and some new ones which happened since I listed it from the way it was stored up against something in the storage box this time. I can see now this purse should have been stored laying flat which was not done. I added a photo plus the information regarding the new indentations on the back but the patent is very reflexive and it is hard to see from a photos. Plus there some scuffs on the front and back as to be expected with a 65 year old purse that was used by someone. One end of the purse in back does not lay quite flat due to how it was stored but I am going to place some heavy books on it and over time, that should fix it. I did not see wear on the ends of the purse like some purses get.

As I said in the listing it is not in perfect condition as it is a used 65 year old purse and that is why I priced it as I did. There is a curved indentation on the back as shown in the photo where it was stored up against something plus some smaller ones. Not sure if they will ever come out or not but when you carry the purse that back part will be against one's body & not noticeable. Price has been reduced considerably for the imperfections.

A very cute clutch which will be perfect to carry when wearing one's vintage clothes.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning. Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower. Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it. The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
