GORGEOUS VINTAGE 1960s- EARLY 1970s HOT PINK ROSE SATIN BROCADE DRESS WITH METAL ZIPPER & REVERSIBLE COAT FOR 2 DIFFERENT LOOKS - MADE IN HONG KONG

$ 624.00

An absolutely gorgeous vintage late 1960s / early '1970s hot pink rose and black coat and dress ensemble. The beautiful brocade side of the coat coat is reversible to a black satin coat so you can have two different looks with the correct color of buttons on each side! I love the look when the cuffs are turned up so you can see the black or pink color depending on which color coat one has chosen to wear.

The fabric is a jacquard brocade which when moved from side to side the large roses and stems shimmer. An exquisitely made outfit as most items are from that era and Hong Kong. The black side of the coat is out of a satin fabric.

Expensive bound buttonholes with 3 beautifully woven large buttons on both the pink side of the coat and then again on the black side of the coat. Slimming princess seams on the dress front and back. The dress is lined. Vintage metal zipper in the dress with a hook and cloth eye at the top of the dress. Little thread strips with snaps to hold a bra in place under each shoulder on the lining.

Just an elegant and beautifully tailored evening coat with 2 DIFFERENT LOOKS and the matching fashionable sheath dress. Perfect to wear as a guest at a wedding or a formal affair when you want all eyes on you!

Size: 14 but go by the measurements instead of the size tag as measurements have changed over the years and what was a size 14 if now more like a size 6 - 8.
Approximate Measurements – This means the measurements of the item listed – NOT OF OF YOUR FIGURE. You must be a few inches smaller than the measurements shown.

Coat
The measurements for the coat were taken with the coat buttoned. If you do not button the coat, it would probably fit a bit larger size. I am a Size 10 and I could wear the coat; however, I did not try on the dress and I know I could not wear it because my hips are larger than the measurement shown below.
Bust: 42
Shoulder to shoulder: 16
Sleeve from neck: 21 with cuffs down & 18-1/2 with cuffs turned up
Waist: 42
Hips: 44 but leave several inches for movement
Length: 39-1/2

Dress
Bust: 37
Waist: 31
Hips: 37 - 37 but leave several inches for movement because there is no stretching this fabric. Also, when you put on the dress, one's body pulls it up and fills the fabric out so you must be several inches smaller than the dress for it to fit and hang correctly.
Length: 38-1/2
Fabric: No tag but a satiny jacquard brocade type of fabric
Care: Dry clean and professionally pressed by a very good cleaner who is familiar with vintage clothing.
Condition: Very good - tiny dot of soiling on the back left shoulder of the dress that will probably come out with a cleaning but even if it should not come out, it's not noticeable. When I looked at the lining on the dress, there were some old scotch tape remnants that flaked off but left a spot on the lining. When the dress is dry cleaned they might possibly disappear but no one can see them anyhow since they are on the inside..

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
