GORGEOUS VINTAGE JENELLE OF CALIFORNIA DOUBLE NYLON LACE PEIGNOIR & NIGHTGOWN SET IN BING CHERRY
A FABULOUS DEEP RICH BING CHERRY NYLON WITH A PINK NYLON LINING UNDER THE NIGHTGOWN FOR A GORGEOUS LOOK IN THIS VINTAGE PEIGNOIR & NIGHTGOWN SET BY JENELLE OF CALIFORNIA - THESE DEEP JEWEL-TONE SHADES IN PEIGNOIR SETS ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND - THE PASTEL SETS ARE MORE COMMON BUT EVEN NOW, THEY ARE NOT IN ABUNDANCE BUT THE DEEP JEWEL-TONE COLORS ARE VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND NOWADAYS - YOU KNOW THE EXQUISITE QUALITY OF JENELLE OF CALIFORNIA WITH ITS WONDERFUL WORKMANSHIP & DETAILING THAT PEOPLE HAVE LOVED THE WORLD OVER -THE PEIGNOIR IS A SINGLE LAYER OF BING CHERRY NYLON ADORNED WITH MATCHING WIDE LACE DOWN THE FRONT, ON THE SLEEVES & AROUND THE HEM - SATIN BURGUNDY PIPING AROUND THE NECK WITH SATIN CORDING TO TIE IN A BOW IN FRONT FOR CLOSURE - THE DOUBLE NYLON GOWN IS EQUALLY BEAUTIFUL WITH MORE SATIN PIPING SURROUNDING THE NECKLINE - BING CHERRY SHEER LACE STRAPS - THERE ARE GATHERS FALLING DOWN FROM THE NECKLINE IN FRONT & BACK FOR A FULL SWEEP LOOK - TINY HOLES IN THE SIDES TO SLIP A BURGUNDY SATIN RIBBON THROUGH IF YOU WISH - THE CONTRASTING PINK LINING IS SILKY SMOOTH HEAVY NYLON - NOT THE CHEAP VARIETY THAT IS IN NIGHTGOWN TODAY - THE HEM IS ADORNED WITH A SMALL ROW OF SCALLOPED BING CHERRY LACE & ANOTHER NEARLY 5 INCHES AT THE HEM WHICH MATCHES THE PEIGNOIR FOR A VERY FEMININE ROMANTIC LOOK - THE LACE & NYLON ARE CRISP & NOT LIMP OR WORN - JUST A GORGEOUS VINTAGE RARE JEWEL-TONE PEIGNOIR & NIGHTGOWN SET BY INTIME IN BING CHERRY
By Jenelle - the tags are missing but the RN# is the number of Jenelle of California which is inside the gown Size tag missing but will fit several sizes because of the generous sizing but please go by the measurements I wear a size 8-10 & it fit me
Peignoir: Bust all the way around 59 Length nearly 55
Nightgown: Bust up to 42
Armholes 20 & can be made bigger by opening the seam below & restitching
Length 58 Nylon Some miniscule picks which no one would ever see - I would definitely hand wash drip dry - DO NOT put in the washer or dryer as they ruin vintage double nylon sets & definitely do not use an iron on these vintage sets - I use a steamer but an iron would ruin them
We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be NEW, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use/wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing/using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.
Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.
Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I DEFINITELY would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing.
